PulseCert Terms of Service

Effective: October 12, 2026 · PulseStart CPR & AED · PulseCert is in beta.

These Terms are an agreement between you and PulseStart CPR & AED, Inc. ("PulseStart CPR"), a Florida corporation (Florida Department of State document no. P17000052437), which operates PulseCert at pulsecert.app and the PulseCert Staff mobile app ("PulseCert," "we," "us"). If PulseCert moves into its own company (the planned PulseCert LLC), these Terms will transfer to it (D9). By booking a class, buying an online-course keycode, creating an account or using PulseCert, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Part A: Basics

A1. What PulseCert is. PulseCert is scheduling and registration software for CPR and first-aid training centers ("Centers"). It handles booking, payments, rosters, exams, records and messages for each Center, on the web and through the PulseCert Staff app (together, the "Service").

A2. What PulseCert isn't.

A3. Beta. PulseCert is in beta. Features may change, break or be removed, and there may be downtime or data errors. Keep your own copies of important records (exports are available). During beta there are no uptime or response-time commitments (C5).

A4. Eligibility. You must be at least 18 to create an account or book, or be booking with a parent or guardian's consent. U.S. only.

Part B: Students and bookers

B1. You're buying from the Center. When you book a class, your contract for the training is with the Center named on the booking page, and its own policies also apply. For PulseStart CPR classes, that's PulseStart CPR & AED, Inc. PulseCert is the software the Center uses.

B2. Booking and payment.

B3. Cancelling, rescheduling and refunds. The Center's cancellation, reschedule, refund and no-show policy is shown at checkout and in your confirmation email, and it's part of these Terms. We keep a record of the exact policy text you accepted. Refunds are decided and issued by the Center, through Stripe, back to your original payment method. For the Center you're booking with:

Cancel or reschedule 24 hours or more before class starts: full refund to your original payment method, or a free reschedule. Your choice. Less than 24 hours before class: no refund. You may reschedule for a $25 fee. No-show (you don't attend and don't tell us before class starts): no refund. You may reschedule for the $25 fee. AHA online-course keycodes (for example, the HeartCode online portion) are non-refundable once we've issued them to you. If we cancel or move the class: full refund or a free reschedule. Your choice. Your seat is held only once your payment goes through. An unpaid booking doesn't reserve a seat. To cancel or reschedule, email support@pulsestartnow.com (include your name, class and date) or call (786) 292-8277, Monday-Friday, 9 AM-6 PM ET.

For PulseStart CPR classes booked on or after October 26, 2026 (bookings made earlier through Enrollware keep the terms shown when they were made):

Situation What happens
You cancel or reschedule 24 hours or more before class starts Full refund to your original payment method, or a free reschedule. Your choice.
You cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours before class starts No refund. You can reschedule to another date for a $25 fee.
No-show (you don't attend and don't tell us before class starts) No refund. You can reschedule for the $25 fee.
An AHA online-course keycode (for example, HeartCode) has been issued to you The keycode is non-refundable once issued (B4). The rest of your payment follows the rules above.
We cancel or move your class You choose a full refund or a free reschedule.

To cancel or reschedule a PulseStart CPR class, email support@pulsestartnow.com (include your name, class and date) or call (786) 292-8277, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM ET. Times count from the class start time on your confirmation (Eastern Time) and from when we receive your request. Card refunds go back to the same card; your bank usually posts them within 5 to 10 business days. Please contact the Center before disputing a charge with your bank.

B4. Online-course keycodes. Some AHA courses have an online part (for example, HeartCode BLS, ACLS or PALS) that needs a keycode. If you buy a keycode from the Center, on its own or with a class, it's non-refundable once it has been issued to you, even if you cancel or move your class. You can still use it for the online course. If the keycode hasn't been issued yet, the normal refund rules apply. If you buy the online portion directly from the AHA, the AHA's own terms apply and the Center can't refund it.

B5. Group and on-site training. For a group or on-site class, the Center's written quote or invoice controls. For PulseStart CPR groups: a 50% deposit holds the date. Cancel or reschedule 7 or more days before the class and the deposit is fully refunded (or the date moved for free). Inside 7 days, the deposit is kept.

B6. Booking for others and for minors. If you book for someone else (an employee, a team or a child), you confirm you're authorized to give us their information and that it's accurate. A parent or legal guardian, or an authorized school or organization, must register a student under 18 and accepts these Terms for that student. For a student under 13, a parent or guardian email is required, and we email or text only the parent or guardian, never the child.

B7. Course finder. The course recommendation wizard gives general guidance based on your answers. It isn't a determination of what your employer, school or licensing agency requires. Confirm the exact course with them before you book.

B8. Cards and participation.

B9. Referral program.

B10. Text messages and email.

Part C: Training-center accounts

C1. Account and authority. The person who signs up confirms they're authorized to bind the Center. You're responsible for your staff's logins and everything done under your account. Give staff only the role they need.

C2. Trial, plans, billing and the platform fee.

C3. Your responsibilities. You're responsible for:

  1. Your own authorization from AHA, ASHI/HSI, the American Red Cross or any other certifying organization, and for following its rules, including card issuance, record keeping and instructor requirements.
  2. Exam and course content you upload. Upload only content you have the right to use. Don't upload exam questions, answer keys, or skills-checklist text from the AHA, the American Red Cross, ASHI/HSI, or any other certifying organization unless it has given you written permission to deliver them on an online platform. Score students on the organization's official checklist and record only the result in PulseCert. We may remove content that appears to infringe.
  3. Your student-facing policies: your own refund policy (entered in Settings) and any notices your students need.
  4. Your texts: your own Twilio number, A2P 10DLC or toll-free registration, and compliance with the TCPA, the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act and carrier rules for messages sent in your name, including getting any consent required (for example, before staff enter a walk-in's phone number) and honoring opt-outs however they're made (STOP replies or any other reasonable request) within the time the law requires. Make sure carrier opt-out blocking is turned on for your number. If you connect your own Twilio account, you must point its inbound messaging webhook to PulseCert so STOP, HELP and START replies are recorded.
  5. Your student data: a lawful basis and any required consent (including parental consent for minors, and a parent or guardian email for every student under 13) for data you collect, import (for example, from Enrollware) or upload.
  6. Accurate course, price and card information, and what you promise students.

C4. Your data. You own your student data. We process it only to provide PulseCert to you, on your instructions, and as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export it anytime while your account is active or read-only (CSV or API). If your account becomes read-only, you have 7 days to export before it's suspended, and we delete a suspended center's data after 90 days (C2). A data processing agreement and reseller/license agreement will be offered separately; until then, these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the data terms.

C5. Support and availability. During beta, PulseCert is provided without uptime or response-time commitments. We'll make reasonable efforts to fix problems and to give notice of planned maintenance. Support: support@pulsestartnow.com.

C6. Suspension and termination. We may suspend an account for non-payment (after the 7-day read-only period in C2), a security risk, or a serious breach of these Terms, such as spam texting. We'll give notice where we reasonably can. Either side may terminate at any time; sections that should survive (data, payment, IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, law) do.

Part D: Everyone

D1. Acceptable use. Don't: break the law; send spam or texts without required consent; upload content you don't have rights to (including copyrighted exam content); misrepresent that a card was issued or that PulseCert or a Center issues cards; access other Centers' data; probe, scrape, overload or reverse engineer PulseCert (except as the law allows); share logins; or resell access without our written agreement.

D2. Intellectual property. PulseCert's software, design and content belong to us. Centers keep ownership of their logos, course content and data and give us a license to host and display them to run the Service. If you send feedback, we may use it freely. Certifying-organization names and marks belong to their owners.

D3. Third-party services. Stripe, Twilio, Resend, GoHighLevel, Railway, Sentry (if enabled), Apple, Google, the certifying organizations, and any integrations a Center connects are run by others under their own terms. We aren't responsible for their outages or actions.

D4. Disclaimers. PulseCert is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement). We don't guarantee that PulseCert is error-free or uninterrupted, that a course recommendation fits your requirement, or that any employer or agency will accept any card.

D5. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for all claims is limited to:

Nothing here limits liability that Florida law doesn't allow to be limited, including for gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

D6. Indemnity. Centers will defend and indemnify PulseCert against claims arising from their classes and training, their content (including exam content), their messages to students, their student data practices, or their breach of these Terms. Students and bookers will indemnify PulseCert against claims arising from false information they provide or their breach of these Terms.

D7. Florida law and Miami-Dade venue. These Terms are governed by Florida law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go exclusively to the state or federal courts in Miami-Dade County, Florida; there's no arbitration. First, each side will try to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days.

D8. Changes. We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version and change the effective date, and for material changes we'll give Centers 30 days' notice by email or in the app. Bookings already confirmed stay under the Terms and refund policy accepted at checkout.

D9. General. These Terms (with the Privacy Policy, the Center's refund policy, and any signed order form) are the whole agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a right isn't a waiver. You can't assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or successor, including the planned PulseCert LLC.

D10. Contact. PulseStart CPR & AED, Inc. · support@pulsestartnow.com · (786) 292-8277, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM ET. Legal notices: by email to the address above. For a booking with another Center, contact that Center first.

Part E: PulseCert Staff mobile app

E1. Who may use it. The PulseCert Staff app ("App") is for staff of Centers that subscribe to PulseCert. There's no sign-up in the App; your Center creates your account and can deactivate it. Your use is also governed by Part C, which your Center accepted, and by your Center's own policies.

E2. App store terms. If you got the App from Apple's App Store, your license to use it is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula). If you got it from Google Play, Google Play's Terms of Service also apply to your download; Google isn't a party to these Terms and isn't responsible for the App.

E3. Your device and data. Keep your device locked and your login private. Tell your Center admin right away if a device with the App is lost. Enter student information only for your Center's classes, enter phone numbers only with the student's permission, and don't enter medical information in notes. To delete your account, use Delete my account in your account settings on the web, or see pulsecert.app/delete-account.

E4. Updates and beta. We may release updates, and some features may require the latest version. The App is part of the beta described in A3.
